Ever since Daley Thompson's Decathlon on ZX Spectrum, Olympic Video Games had the bad reputation of being nothing else than 2 button smashers...
Beijing 2008 was a first change i noticed, introducing a stamina model that was somehow improved on London 2012.
Yet, there is still some much lighter button smashing than in the old days, and some events don't have any button smashing at all...
But... but... was this change so hard to do, that only MS XBox Controllers were enabled? Some events are perfectly playable with keyboard and mouse... Others just aren't!!!
Seems like another game that will have deserted servers soon enough and that's a shame cause the most fun you could have with this game was playing it with friends. And some events are just perfect for that.
Beach Volleyball for example would be a more than ok stand alone game.

I Just Love This Magic - The Gathering: Duels Of The Planewalkers Series.

Got this one at the adventure themed "Bundle In A Box" and left it at the library for a while until I found that many people had played it untill they got 100% achievements in it... So I decided to have a go...Actually 2, but you can get them in one run if you don't mind the spoilers and go ditrctly for commentary mode... but, I'd recommend a pure run for the 1st time. Tough it's a bit retro in graphics and gameplay it brought me to the glory age of Lucas Arts and Sierra Point and Click Adventures with a magnificent story bouncing between Orwell's Big Brother and Blade Runner environment., I'd give it 8,5/10 in it's genre.
