I'm a puzzle/rhythm/horror game fanatic. Amnesia, Beat Hazard, and Bioshock are my favorite games!

If you love music, especially energetic pop hits, thumping techno tunes, rocking power guitar riffs, or even a touch of ethnic or soul; this game is for you. Just like AudioSurf (another awesome game), Beat Hazard is "powered by your music," and will take just about any music track you throw at it.

With gameplay fundamentally similar to the classic Asteroids, the nuances of the game are based on the power, volume, and intensity of the music track. When the music picks up, your bullets gain more power and the enemies fly faster! A particularly powerful section of the song may spawn a boss fight! Having a large selection of music to choose from, I adored every minute I've spent with Beat Hazard and will likely spend many more.

A word of caution: PLEASE do NOT play this game if you have some sort of epilepsy. This game is famous among my friends and I for having the flashiest and sparkliest visuals of any game I've seen to date.

It has been a long time since I have been truly terrified by a video game. The last time I felt real fear was Fatal Frame III, and its sense of helplessness against a spirit world that invades through dreams. In Amnesia, it's very hard to determine what is really going on inside of Brennenburg Castle. You are too busy running blindly away from whatever monster you THOUGHT you saw down the hallway! I love the fact that you cannot fight any monsters in the game; you may only run and hide. This game is most certainly not for the faint of heart, but if you are after an adrenaline rush, Amnesia's pure unadulterated terror should satisfy!
