Activision wants $60 for Modern WarFare 2.

The Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Boycott is a group of individuals who have pledged to boycott Activision's upcoming release of Modern Warfare 2 on November 10th, 2009. We have assembled a manifesto outlining the basic concensus of many members of our community.

WE RECOGNIZE:

-Activision is a company with financial needs and cannot be expected to survive without the increased prices of new games.

-Judgment cannot be passed on the quality of Modern Warfare 2 until its release.

-Modern Warfare was, and is, a quality game which deserves the praise of the entire gaming community.

WE ARE COMMITTED:

-To holding Activision to its promise of pleasing the gaming community with resonable prices.

-To keeping the Modern Warfare community together in order to improve the quality of online gaming.

-To supporting the model of $50 price tags for pc games.

WE BELIEVE:

-The release of Modern Warfare 2 as an over-priced sequel will split the communities amongst the rich and the poor and decrease the quality of multiplayer gaming.

-The announced content of Modern Warfare 2 does not warrant a stand-alone, over-priced sequel and should instead become a normal priced sequel.

-The release of Modern Warfare 2 will make Modern Warfare an obsolete purchase and inferior piece of software that was $10 less when it was released.

WE REQUEST:

-That Activision (like everyone else) honor its commitment to release pc games $50 or less.

-That Modern Warfare 2 not be released as an over-priced sequel but as a normal $50 priced sequel.

-That Modern Warfare owners be given discounts for Modern Warfare 2, should it be released as an over-priced sequel.

Therefore, we - the members of this Modern Warfare 2 Boycott - promise to abstain from the purchase of Modern Warfare 2 until our requests are addressed.
