I sometimes have to stop to remember that this game is based on "Ys III: Wanderers from Ys", which has probably aged the worst out of all the games in the series. But I digress. Besides, you don't have to be a fan of the series to appreciate the oodles of old-school cool packed into this fast-pased hack-em-up. It's simple yet satisfying, with a rockin' soundtrack and equally hardcore boss battles. Multiple difficulties ensure beginners and experts alike will feel honored to take the oath. Kudos once again to XSeed for giving the series another well-deserved chance here in the States
