Amazing characters and art with fluent animations and challenging, but satisfying combat, makes this one of the best RPG's this year. I can easily recommend this to anyone. *thumbs up*

Dragon Fin Soup is delicious, but a niche game.

Let's start with the fact that I have enjoyed the game so far, and I can recommend it even with some little flaws. You are interested about the flaws ofc, right? But let's start what makes Dragon Fin Soup so delicious and pretty addictive. I have mostly played the story mode.

First thing which hits the honey spot for me is the atmosphere of the game. The charming and pretty unique graphics and the sweet ass soundtrack makes me grin, and even those together makes the game's fantasy world feel unique and alive. The level of detail in the game is pretty impressive too; furnitures inside houses + lot of detail on all the models: like character models, deep crafting system, tons of stuff to equip and use, minigames, traps and secrets etc. There are also three game modes; Story mode which is more like regular RPG and then endless labyrinth + survival modes where you can unlock more characters and play those more like roguelike game. The humor of the game is spot on with funny equipments, references to other games and tv shows, and goofy characters. Most of the characters are also pretty memorable and the main character Red Robin is one of them + she is pretty damn likable too.

The flaws what I can think about after the updates are; No key binding option in the game yet (you can remap the keys from config file though), a bit clunky options menu (and some other menus for some ppl) and the weather effects and other effects makes it sometimes hard to see what is happening in the game. The devs have been pretty active though and they plan to update the game further what I have heard, so some of these things might change for better in future.

This game is damn charming and, if you like turn-based RPGs/roguelike games, you should pick this up. Especially, if the game is on sale. However...because this is a niche game and have some flaws, the game isn't everyones cup of soup. That's why I highly recommend you to check out the tutorial video of the game which gives you pretty detailed idea how the game works. :)

+ This guide for basics is good way to get you going.
...and also remember to check the guide in the game.
