Its more cause my First name is Gilles and most of you English speaking people cant properly pronounce it. So all my English friends call me "G". Im a Jack-of-all-Trades! I love anime, Gaming, Camping and well just read all that stuff in the rest of my profile. I have kids. Im pretty sexy according to my friends :P and im a proud Canadian. Je parle francois! What is hug a gamer? What is this group all about?
This group is to promote the spirit of gaming and how gamers are everyday people. Not just the basement living geeks or nerd portrayed in the media.
You have gamers who are doctors, military members (such as my self), teachers, lawyers, tech heads, mechanics...
We are also here to show the world how gamers (hardcore gamers) can run normal lives while being gamers. Gamers have such things in there lives like having kids, being married, have a GF or BF and social lives.
Also id like to point out that the people in this group are not all guys! There are allot of female gamers out there too. And our group varies from the 13 year old n00bs to the 60+ L337 Gamer heads! You know who you are you Vic20 lovers out there.Gamers include but not limited to: PC gamers, consol gamers, LARP'ers, card gamers, borad games, table top, RPG, Portable, Figurines (warhammer...), text based RP games (dint forget you old timers using BB's) and any other way of gaming ^-^
Our 2 Mission
1) Our groups mission is to spread the love that gamers share with fellow gamers from all over the world.And since virtual hugs can only go so far we spread the love even more by not only holding event s world wide but also by giving the gift of gaming. That right we give out games to gamers from around the world. To date we have given out over 100 games to gamers from across the globe and with our new site we hope to be able to send even more ^-^. So spread the join of gaming and hug a geek. ^-^
2) Our second goal is to educate the world about the gaming mentality. Gamers live without boarders. We do not have religion, or imaginary lines seperating us from other gamers. We all know the world is doomed if there is a zombie outbreak or killer astroid so why not work together and team kill the other team. Hell next match the other team members are your teamate. Gamers are (as stated above) normal day working people. Not just the basement loving folks the media puts out.
For a secound game in the series it gives the whole story line a Kick ass continuation. Even though i have not finished the game yet it ROCKS even more then the first one.
Catchy catch phrases, Kick ass new and old characters, Amazing graphics engine....
It's still the best mix between a FPS and RPG and MMORPG game ever! Even people who dont like FPS games love this one!
