Set in the 1940's of Los Angeles during it's most difficult time, playing as a LAPD Detective, solving cases that seem to not have anything to do with one another, near the beginning I thought there was no story, but near the end of the game you find yourself in a really well told story. This game captures how being smart and solving puzzles and reading peoples faces help you uncover truths that will make or break a case. This is well told near the end of the game.
Characterization in this game is...different but not in an entierly bad way, but I found myself more liking my partners more than the character, especially three quarters in the game. All the DLC's are...awesome and fun to play. But seriously Rockstar? 30 FPS limit, i found myself messing around with the coding to get it to run well.
I reccomend this game for it's fun and interesting story, puzzles, and action
This game has alot to offer and many areas that you will enjoy to explore, punch peoples heads off and do interesting side missions before going onto the main quest. Some gameplay elements(punching through walls sounds fun right?) will help you have alot of fun either stabbing everyone you see, or slapping them with their own hands. I reccomend playing the original first (10 dollars!) so you can understand more of what is going on and understand the "secret" ending. But then again this is a prequel
