Veterans will miss the detailed aspects of this game, where Firaxis have tried to streamline and modernise this instalment of the iconic Civilization series. But instead they have sadly shipped a game with a long list of gameplay bugs, technical problems and balance issues, not to mention a completely incompetent AI system. This is not what I’ve come to expect from a legendary series.

The game starts out looking like a promising poker game, mostly because of the funny conversations taking place at the table. What quickly kills Telltale's latest game is that there's not enough diversity to keep people coming back, especially when you’ve unlocked all of the TF2 items and have nothing else to do.

The story is very thin, quite repetitive and somewhat boring, plus after 20 levels you've basically seen everything that the game has to offer. Gearbox missed the mark with this mixed FPS/RPG game, and sadly the setting and good graphics deserved more than that. If you absolutely love looting, grinding and playing Co-op, then this might be your ideal game.
