The progress of the game is very fast at first to get you hooked, but by the time you have reached mid-tier the economy and progression problem starts to creep on you, to call this F2P is a bit of an overstatement at it is just as "free" as an MMO that lets you get to lvl 20 before you need a monthly subscription.

You NEED premium to not feel like it is a chore scrapint the money together for the next tier, you NEED to buy a premium vehicle if you don't intend to stay in the low tiers for the remainder of your time.

The progression is too slow and too expensive, and the creators (Gaijin) are only planing to make it slower and more expensive with the latest updates and news where they want to reduce the amount of currency players get, forcing them to cough up some dough or be forever stuck in a loop of grinding silver just to lose them the game after.

I spent around 30€ in this "F2P" title, something I would come to regret as I still felt it was not even close to enough to take me anywhere, but only kept me barely afloat within the economic nightmare this game is.

TL;DR: Game is playable now, although ladder will come in about 2 months, and all content can be unlocked for free (easily) except cosmetics. No pay-to-win, only pay-to-bling is not something I would call "predatory monetization".

With the early problems BB3 had with it's launch I was about to give a negative review, but most of the problems that existed has already been adressed, (such as server stability, cosmetics missing and more) and the developers are constantly communicating out to their players and adressing any concerns, as well as sending out new patches constantly.

In the games current state it is completely playable, although the only viable gamemode is the pre-season ladder.
I would not recommend this game for people focusing on the single-player as it is catered towards multiplayer with most of the replayability existing there, and an AI that is only useful for learning the basics such as tackle-zones and passing.

Since all the current and future races will be playable for free I do not agree with the people who call their monetization strategy predatory, the only inacessable content is cosmetics, and having that behind a paywall instead of gameplay elements is something I support.

I am looking forward to the future content and hope that the toxic and destructive part of the community will move on to something they enjoy or start to get constructive instead of bashing both the developers and people who wants to enjoy the game.

Even getting through the first mission of completing a microsoft login leaving only with a bad taste in my mouth, tryin to get into a game with my friend, I realize I have to complete the tutorial first. FIne I say, and start grinding away, soon to realize that after running through a bunch of non-engagin storyline and getting the first cutscene (after approx 15 min) the "tutorial" has only just begun, Soon I am tasked to run 500m this way, go 500m that way, kill this kill that, and before soon it is "kill these 10 bosses, which makes me estimate this "tutorial" to be approximately 1h long. For someone who has no interest in solo-ing this game and was only looking forward to coop with a friend, this is the breaking point despite being patient, despite accepting that you need to complete tutorial first, despite mircocok standing in my way.

Also. The game is not even that good.

The power creep in this game has made its mark and if you try to get into the game as a new player, you will not enjoy it unless you buy yourself a few hundred packs or spend months and months grinding (by losing a lot, since your cards are nothing compared to the veteran players, which is the majority of the remaining player base). So be ready to spend a lot of money or you will not have a fun time.

This is not multiplayer, only singleplayer fishing with a chatbox

Extremely good game.
Great graphics, smooth controls, a bit short with the story mode even if you try to take on the different challenges or "side quests" that appear as you go. There is however a challenge mode and to collect all the collectibles you will have to revisit areas so there is a bit of replay value but that kind of grind might not suit everyone.

I would not say this adds enough noticeable content to justify the purchase for the average player.

The equipment you get is just variations of what you already got and the map that would promise a "visual upgrade" is very bland in my opinion and I much prefer the looks of the others, especially considering the small areas suitable for woodcutting. I'm sure it's a fresh breeze for some who have already played the other maps hours on end but for the rest I would say it's a unneccessary addition.

Finally a game with sufficient amount of bear related things.
