Emotions can be related to radiation and the real world. You see, the thing about half lifes is that they split in half, and half, and half but they are never completely gone. Just like emotions, they never completely go away. They may get less, or they may get more but they never dissapear.

The story line of Amnesia is rather.... Twisted and semi-nonunderstandable.
In order to get it you would have to play the Penumbras, and even then its still rather difficult to understand. However, the best explanation I can give is you are put in a castle in Prussia with a rather extensive history to it. The reason why you are there is to defeat Alexander in the Sanctum of the castle.
This however, is not the easiest thing ever. In order to get into the Inner Sanctum you must go through a number of Puzzles and mazes. Meanwhile being chased by a number of spawns that once used to live/were kept captive in the castle.
Oh yeah, and you must do all of this to leave the castle seing how the Shadow keeps you from leaving. The Shadow is a meaty looking substance that slowly encompaces the castle.
Once again, its a rather odd story to it.
Metro 2033 is based on a story written in Russia. Modern time Russia falls into a Nuclear abyss along with the rest of the world and a number of civilians take refuge in the Metro's of Russia. This specific game however takes place in Metro # 2033 which is located under Moscow in real day Russia.
Mathematical terms for Metro 2033:
Radiation * Metro + The Red's (Communist Party) * Russian Nazi Party * Military / Mutants = Post apocolyptic Russian Metro.
Not to mention your surprise visits to the surface of what used to be a beautiful historically prominent city... Now turned to ashes, radioactive fallout, and new breeds of Mutants away from the Metro.... Cars abandoned, Apartment complexes cleared out, and playgrounds with the sounds of laughing children ringing through the dead wasteland.
