Probably the most beautiful game I've ever played. Combat was tough at first at low levels, but once you get use to using signs (Quen specifically), things got easier. Plot was interesting but seemed to make references to the book series more heavily than the first game, which made it seem more distant.

Lack of a neutral path like the first game was also a let down.

Not worth buying. Hugely disappointing new chapter for the Civilization franchise. Multiplayer doesn't work, tons of bugs in game, poor performance and massive regression in GUI style that makes management a pain.

Wait awhile if you're interested and demand the problems are fixed.
