All right, I've written a handful reviews for this game in the past, with each subsequent playthrough, I had new things to say. As I near my final run, I realized I've played my fair share of the game, now it's time to give it a full review.

Undertale is an amazing game, there's really no other words that can describe my feelings towards it. I wouldn't be surprised if this lingering in our hearts and minds for a long time. It's got a fresh combat style, turned based combat with the ability to manually dodge and not leave it up to chance, interacting with the enemies, seeing how they tick to certain actions (even though in many cases it feels a rather limited). Using your sheer charm to defuse the combat situation.

A major contributing factor is the soundtrack, it sounds awesome, but what REALLY makes the soundtrack, is the nostalgia you get from it. It's a little weird to say that, but it's true. Although the journey was rather short (6-7 hours for me), something just ticked for me when I heard the Ruin's theme after my first run, the game just makes that much of an impression.

Minor Spoiler: One of the biggest things that made the game feel real to me, is that the characters have some sort of self-awareness, after your first run, the characters seem to remember you, although only very slightly, this can make resets feel like they have a real impact on the characters.

My final score for Undertale, is a 10/10. That's a score that may get tossed around a lot in the reviews of other games, but it's especially true for Undertale.
