Redemption, not entirely, but for a sequel/expansion to Painkiller it's not as bad as those that preceded it. The game poses enough of a challenge to keep the adrenaline going, but that's only by virtue of spamming a lot of baddies between sparse checkpoints. Thank god those ridiculous one-liners from Overdose are gone, though. Still, it doesn't add anything worthwhile to the original Painkiller experience, so I recommend what I always recommend with Painkiller sequels: Play (or replay) the original instead of this, and you'll be left a lot more satisfied.

Awesome game. Worth playing only for the fact that it's different from anything else you've played, but also because of the fantastically crafted world and intensely satisfying gameplay.
