This game is jank as all get out. That's part of it's charm. Also, I bet the like, cyberman civil war occuring on top of class conflict which itself butts against the regular old war going on might be a story to entice people who like stories that are convoluted like simile covered in maramalade.
I just like looking down iron sights and dual weilding swords and guns.
Do you wanna play like, the most chill game on the planet? get some Flotilla. Space ballet. With missiles. Then encounter a crocodile with the space crazies. Yeahhh. Good times abound.
This game is better than L4D. It's got an actual sense of tension, because they do not five you a gun with inifinite ammo. The winning strategy is teamwork, but the players choose to be a team, rather then reacting to a "you buddy is effed" icon. It's built on the same engine as UT2k4, which means it's run better on more machines (and IMO looks no worse ) than Source games.
The only thing L4D has over it is actual characters. But I wouldn't say that's a big loss because it has what L4D should have had. The stress that comes with trying not to die in a zombie apocalype.
