Desperate defense is a gamemode for the source engine modification "Garry's Mod". It allows players to defend their city from the combine forces. All the while trying to hold control points, Gain money, and other things. You are allowed to redeem your money you've earned by buying better guns, vehicles, items to better protect yourself, health kits, and even re-inforcements such as helicopters, tanks, airstrikes, etc.

Fun little 2D game. It's fairly simple, but you can take it way in depth with varying strategies and tactics, especially with the expansions.
As much as its been compared to Minecraft, it is quite different in many ways. If you like Minecraft, you'll likely like this game. Although, just because you don't like minecraft doesn't mean you won't enjoy this very unique game.
