We have a new Exec!!! And now they're on steam!!

Sutekh is the Sydney University club, formed in 1976, devoted to pop-culture and roleplaying games, sci-fi & fantasy, comics, board games and computer gaming (see our interests). In short, we're a social group with shared interests in all things traditionally 'geek'. In 2006, we won the University of Sydney Union award for Best Club. In 2007, we came second, and won a whole bunch of other awards.

From the "tailored to a particular track" breed of music games. Has a Tetris-y block coverage mechanic, where you claim a region by covering it fully with a bunch of blocks. A 'bar' passes over the playing field, and if an area is covered when it passes then it contributes texture to the music.
The songs are all basically repetitive and textural, so more coverage means more instruments and harmonies: as you progress through the level the music becomes more rich. It's Nice.
Used to have a part contributed to charity, indicating the developers a probably Pretty Cool. Or just savvy. Counterintuitively, start out with a long duration rather than a short one, it gives you longer to work out the mechanic at first.

This is a game about how being neurotic sucks. You basically just control how a guy fidgets while his uncomfortable and self-conscious thoughts float by. I think being interactive really does make it more compelling, and lends a dramatic weight to his neuroticism that wouldn't work in a novel or a film. But, um, you are just controlling a guy fidgetting, so I really don't need to point out that your mileage may vary.

Really great. Pretty retro visuals, fun music. It's really a rhythm game. I fail a lot because shut up, and it makes sure not to break the rhythm when you die, putting you back at the start in time with the music so it flows from when you were last playing. And, like, the dude has rainbows coming out his bum, look at the picture, how can you not want this game.
