These are not the NES versions of the game! This software is very lacking in detail and fine tuning. It needs a lot of polish by the developers. 3/10 for following the NES originals; 10/10 for nostalgia.

If they want to recapture their experiences being childs and playing Nintendo, they might as well do it by purchasing games for Nintendo Virtual Console platform. I think this compilation is here to please arcade players.

The point of the review is that this version pretty much cut out all of the original gameplay. It's the first part of level one, part of the forest level and the final boss. Then the game ends. The controls are also very terrible and do not respond correctly a majority of the time.

A large majority of people who would consider purchasing Double Dragon presumably are looking to recapture their original NES experiences through nostalgia. Those people would be severely disappointed.
