Only played through about half a game so far but I am in love with this game. It is not too complex, but it has so much depth and flavor to it. I 100% recommend this.

I am always one to enjoy a bit of alternative history, especially if it adds in an aspect of the war that could have created a whole other front in the Middle East. But the simple fact remains that two MAJOR nations that played a much more significant role in the 2nd World War still have not been reworked or fixed since the game came out in 2016. Not cool Paradox.

From what I have tried so far, I have had a blast, and it runs extremely well even on my potato of a computer so I recommend it wholeheartedly.

I have just dived into the Unterzee after my interest in the game was reignited and so far I have really enjoyed the game and the brutality of it. It is nice to play a game with a challenge such as this and I have always been interested in games like this where you manage a crew in an rpg style world. There is so much to enjoy about this game and the story is absolutely fantastic, you will never experience such a fresh and unique world like this, from a colony of dying corpses to a war between rats and hamsters there is just so much to explore. So feel free to pick it up and zail the zee for yourself... unless you're a landlubber then just avoid it entirely.

I vividly remember playing this game as a child and I fell in love with it, and as soon as I saw the game on Steam I bought it for the memories. This game is very good and the gameplay is great. It is the combination of Age of Empires and Civilization in one game and it does it very well by adding unique units and great balance, the campaigns to conquer the world are very fun as well, whilst the mechanics are simple the amount of time it takes with the matches in between make something that seems straightfoward, a daunting yet rewarding task. The game's age can show but it is a timeless and fun game to play and I highly advise you play it.

Ultimate General Civil War is by far one of the most in depth Civil War games I have played to date. I have had a lot of fun in the campaigns on both sides North and South. Some times the missions can be tedious but usually they are extremely fun. The way divisions are organized and have to be supplied add the extra amount of depth to the game that make me feel like I truly am a general that needs to supply his troops. The campaign also has an intresting way of developing your character in the beginning by picking your background and increasing traits of you and your officers as you progress through the war. If you want to have an intresting experience I highly suggest giving this game a try and it's precurser title, Ultimate General: Gettysburg, but if you truly want the full campaign and wider scope experience pick this one up first.
