Don't listen to people.

This game is far from fantastic. It takes it to a new level. So don't listen to people when they rant about "artificial difficulty". Don't listen to people when they rant about "a poor port". If you miss out on this game, you're really missing out on a treat.

Beautifully atmopsheric, rewarding you with the satisfaction of beating difficult bosses. Even music in this game is a reward - when you're battling a giant butterfly, a chilling choir sings. When you're being demolished by a giant and his good buddy, a dramatic chorus yells.

Online is substantial too (bar some invaders), players treat each other with respect - bowing before duelling, assisting other Undead in their quest.

Easily 2012GOTY. Hyped for DS2!

Amnesia is one of those games that people will buy and never play, because everyone has talked about it., but are too scared to play it.

But it's really worth playing.

I left Amnesia cold after the Potato Bundle, never hoping to hear it's beautiful music, or to see the inside of Brennenburg Castle again... But recently I decided to delve deeper and was left with the most amazing experience I've ever had.

Putting aside the haunting atmosphere and terrifying Gatherer's, this game- no experience, is one that shouldn't be missed.

Just bring some friends, and some diapers.

Evil Genius is one of those games that have specifically been designed to make you have so much fun yet annoy you thoroughly at the same time. Got an awesome base? How about hundreds of Forces of Justice to deal with?

It's retro charm, stereotypical Evil Geniuses (ze short, vengeful Scientist/Industrialist German, the ruthless Asian and the seductive Parisian), top-down base-building, take-over-the-world gameplay really isn't something to be missed. And the music is just amazing. It even got a nomination for a BAFTA in Best Original Music.

Now zen, back to business.

Just stop for one minute and consider this, if you've got £12 spare that is. What're you going to spend that £12 on? Junk food, crappy games or even worse DLC ? How about you buy Bastion? Why?

How about the most unique, beautiful, hand-crafted story you'll probably ever see, that brought this man to tears from sheer gutwrenching, bittersweet narration?

What about the stunning artstyle, and the absolute beauty of each level which was entirely hand-drawn?

Maybe the undeniably divine soundtrack, that aided in the whole 'bringing-me-to-tears' fiasco?

And how could I forget: perhaps the belgian chocolately-smooth narration of Logan Cunningham, whose voice sounds like his lungs are made of chocolate profiteroles, smooth jazz and the best sex around will persuade you in buying this game.

Rating: perfection in the form of a video game ~ 11/10. But to who do I owe the honor of this game to? None other than the fantastic Sir Earl Grey. Thank you ever so much for this beautiful experience.

I can't say anything for the Half Life series. You have to play it to understand how excellent it is.
