ATTENTION: I have recently finished writing the first draft of a novel I've been working on for the past 7 months straight. I'll probably have a lot more time for bullshit while editing this thing.

The book, if you care at all, is about 19 year old Matt Moresy in Chicago near the end of his first year at the fictional Melridge College on the Near North Side of the city. He experiences several events within the last few months of his Freshman year that proceed to take away shreds of his humanity as he slips into a world of moral ambiguity and apathy, never finding the love he desires so much and instead finding himself psychologically addicted to weed--though the book isn't anti-drug at all--as he hangs out with fellow members of Generation Y who are wholly hedonistic, careless and destructive. He tries to find meaning in it all, but meaning is something that's hard to come by these days. It's a commentary on my generation and the world we grow up in, separated by technology and experiencing an economic recession along with a world consisting of both indifference and fear just as we begin making our way into the working world under a new president who represents hope and change, and who may or may not fulfill those hopes. At the same time we are literally paying for the previous generation's mistakes.

The book isn't called "Generation WhY?" as my avatar suggests. I just like that image.
