In order to make group management fair, I will no longer decide who is promoted to officer. Instead, a member who wishes to be promoted will petition a current officer, and that officer will arrange for a vote to be held amongst all current officers. If the member receives >50% of the vote, I will then promote them.
New officers will not be allowed to vote on promotions for a probationary period of two months.
Any officer is allowed to demote another officer with good reason (harassment, abuse, etc.), but this demotion will typically be temporary.
If an officer would like to permanently demote another officer, or temporarily ban a member, they will call a vote amongst the other officers. The vote will pass with >50%.
If an officer would like to permanently ban a member from the group, they will call a vote amongst the other officers. The vote will pass with >75%.
Officers are expected to create lobbies, post announcements for games, and generally keep the chat respectful. The group is public for now so that everyone can read this and choose whether they would like to rejoin.
So remember, have fun, and follow Wheaton's Law: don't a be dick.

This game made me feel like a 6 year old boy again, sitting on the floor with a MegaDrive controller playing Sonic 1 with a huge grin on my face that would not go away.
Playing this game, I'm not sure I ever stopped smiling. If you're not comfortable with the way Sonic games can control, there are a few sections that would probably be a little frustrating. But when it works, when you manage to play through a level just right, no platformer feels so good.
They wrote the ultimate love letter to Sonic here. Both Sonics play fantastically, the music selection is absolutely staggering. It is visually gorgeous, possibly one of the best looking games this generation. But most importantly, they absolutely nailed the level design. When you hit your stride and the level starts to flow, it feels absolutely fabulous.
I don't know how I can recommend this any more, other than saying it is the most fun platformer I have personally played in years.
This game is terrifying and I have no idea why. I'vep layed like 3 hours and nothing has happened and yet I'm scared out of my mind. When something did finally show up I hid in a cupboard for 10 whole minutes.
Best horror game ever for sheer terror caused.
It's like if you made the best multiplayer shooter, then supported it for free with class and map updates for 3 years, then gave it away for free.
Oh wait, it's literally that. Go play this. Now you have no excuse.
