Doch auch die Schönsten zeigten Dornen. Nicht behutsam gehandhabt und ehe man sich versah, riss man sich sein Gewand an solchen.
So schön und anmutig sie auch zu erscheinen vermochten, umso gefährlicher ist es, sich nicht mit Vorsicht Ihnen anzunehmen.
Weshalb es gewisse Leute vermögen, selbst die Hilflosesten ohne jegliches Gewissen zu zertrampeln, ist allzu fraglich für die Meisten. Dabei ist die Antwort noch so offensichtlich.
Wer sich der Ignoranz rankend neigt, dessen Blüte ewig schweigt.
Je stärker das Leid, umso stärker macht sich beißender Frost breit.
Nur Wärme kann noch ertauen, welche noch als Letzte vergrauen.

My Gaming Philosophy
Ever since I was a child, I loved several kinds of games and genres: Shooters, Stealth, Strategy, mostly games in first person perspective. I loved Half-Life and Vietcong, I was addicted to S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Max Payne and I couldn´t get enough from Thief Deadly Shadows and Hitman Blood Money. I really appreciate games which are immersive, unique and where the atmosphere really sucks me into the world. Call of Cthulhu, Hotline Miami, Mirrors Edge, Vietcong, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Metro, Cry of Fear, Stronghold, Riddick but also mods like Paranoia. Consolewise things liek Shadow of the Colossus, Okami, Rule of Rose, The Darkness, etc.
I always played underrated games and I appreciated them more than most other games. I will never be the standard crowd gamer, I will always play the games that deserve to be kept in memory as inspiration. Many think that gameplay is the most important aspect of a game, and yes it is, but only the immersion and the atmosphere, the world, the soundtrack makes a game with already great gameplay so memorable that it´s worth to remember it, to relive it with your nostalgia and heart. We are a generation which grew up with fictional role models. Outcome obvious.
You can feel if a game comes from heart, or if it´s massproduced. Vietcong, Cry of Fear, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Such games had developers which lived to make games such like these. They sacrified their sweat and blood for their project. People wanted entertainment, I wanted memories and experiences. Like a book can educate your mind, games can do the same with your spirit.

A good game keeps you entertained, a masterpiece sends shivers down your spine.



About a fantastic revolutionary shooter from my childhood:

Vietcong was one of the first games that took the step that if you aren't aiming with your iron sights, you are firing from your hip with much reduced accuracy, and now more games are using this as a standard feature, like the Call of Duty franchise. Vietcong even had a realistic magazine and bullet system like red orchestra 2. Vietcong also was the first fps to feature spmewhat proper iron sights (even if they aren´t what a gun nut or GI would call using iron sights) in combination with a cover system. Sound design and texture work is still fantastic no matter its resolution and poly count. It´s one of those timeless artistic games. In vietcong you lost a piece of your maximum health and if you bled too heavily from shotwounds and didnt treat them it would get worse. You has a doc to patch you up and as long as you didn´t desert or spread your squad too far away he would treat you immediately. Of course at some point the bleeding timer stopped and the maximum damage to your health bar was done. Reminds me a bit about the dark souls 2 maximum health bar reduction mechanic just with a deeper effect and better integrated into the gameplay than just dying and getting a penalty. I haven´t seen such a smart system ever again in a shooter

I remember back in 1789... I walked the streets of paris and as I looked to my left, stutter, stuttering everywhere, the french people couldn´t speak out, cowards. I jumped from roof to roof with hearing crashes below me. Horses screaming, peasants and the rich burning, but what I will never forget was the face of horror that I saw that day. Floating eyes and a mouth missing, yet the thing could talk and it spoke british all of a sudden. I was unprepared, but the worst thing I had to face before the revolution came to an end, was that I only had 1 core in my groin to run and I was out on DrawCalls. I noticed I began to stutter and felt like there was no ground underneath me, One step further I noticed, I flew off the roof, landed inside a haywagon. All fine? I crashed afterall. No, I never woke up again. Blackscreen. Death. Everybody in agony. It had to stop. I had to stop.

Mafia 3: Doesn´t recognize mouse 4 and 5 side buttons and they have unnecessary actions for EVERYTHING like cancel, aim, abort grenade throw. one button, it´s called button context. you seriously have two mappings each for aiming mode, normal guns and then the sniper rifle? WTF due to mouse 4 and 5 not being recognized on my intelli AS WELL as my zowie fk pro, i only have three buttons. because my keyboard is so full of actions that could be laid on one single fucking button! 100% windows volume cutscenes on my 600OHM SOUNDCARD AMPED DT990PRO.... nope, first they play a cutscene and go directly into the game... i press esc and go to options, ok all fine, W is unmapped, ok, remap, go to graphics do gods work, voila, back into the game. ok well, how do i start a new campaign now, so i can watch the cutscene? ehmm.. I don´t find anything..... oh well, exit game, restart game.... GG when developers don´t have a clue how to fucking do menu screens and button mapping.
