Full Spectrum Warrior™© brings some interesting mechanics to the overexposed TPS (Third-Person Shooter) Genre. It is, however, a typical sci-fi shooter. You play as a Spectrum Warrior, an elite group of supersoldiers embued with the power of the entire visual spectrum. Your character is the last and final soldier to come out of the project, as it was cancelled due to questionable experimentation practices (possibly having to do with Pink Floyd albums-- its hinted at, but never clearly revealed). Your mission is to stop the main antagonist, a rogue Spectrum Warrior who can control the entire electromagnetic spectrum, from taking over the world. The only way to do so is to match his power and become a Full Spectrum Warrior.

Despite the lackluster ending (A total setup for the sequel, FSW: Ten Hammers), this game has some good moments and a very original Spectrum mechanic. Pandemic Studios was also thoughtful enough to include a color-blind option, swapping colors for patterns. 7.5/10

Foreign Legion: Buckets of Blood is beautifully stylized and contains both an engaging story (loosely based on the novel Beau Geste) and great programming by the developers. Underrated from the start, the game undeservedly went straight to the bargain bin. However, it is not a 10 out of 10 as some suggest. The story and characters fall too often into clichés and some of the levels could have been given more depth. Particularly the love story, mostly told in flash backs, is depicted with emotionally appealing pictures and music but remains too superficial to be fully satisfying.

This game had the potential to be great with a bit more emphasis on the drama part and toning down the more usual action shooter formula (the mass-chicken-murder maps are well done, though). However, here is hope that Sakari Indie will make more serious games. 2/10

Truly deserving of its title as one of the greatest Dash games in the series, DinerTown Detective Agency™ delivers in spades. Everything about the game shines, of course, there's a lot of junk in the way. Acting, cinematography, script, atmosphere, it's all 10s baby. The story of struggling detective Bernie the bookworm getting a case that has more twists and turns than a mountain road is still one of the most crafted storylines ever concocted. You can't be a gamer if you haven't played this one.

Absolutist Ltd. re-creates a grim genre with their jaded view of 2010's DinerTown down to the choice of the color palette. Detective Agency™ creates haunting characters who can't be easily dismissed as film-noir archetypes without looking very closely at their reactions, listening to their words, and following their progressive involvement in a plot which threatens to swallow them whole, and ultimately does. 3/10
