Over 100 hours played and growing, this is the best Total war game to date. Focusing on gun powder weapons for Empire and Napoleon did not really catch my interest, so going back to melee combat is very welcome. The only gripe is that the game is not as modable to my knowledge as Rome and Medieval 2 but otherwise it is a great game. Lastly for historical game set in Japan there is a noticeable lack of giant enemy crabs.

This is basically a tower defense game but in that genre it is one of the best. It has fun little story that take you trough each level, with amusing AI companion. The levels vary from putting the towers next to a set path, and also the levels (in my opinion more fun) where you create a maze trough the tower placement that make the journey that the attackers have to make a long march of constant fire. If you enjoy a game that consists of solving a puzzle of finding the most efficient way to defeat the enemy then I highly recommend this game.
