Growing up playing Counter-Strike 1.5 and 1,6 as well as buying Half-Life 2 + Counter-Strike : Source near the time it came out, I can honestly say Global Offensive really redefefines how Counter-Strike plays with a far more improved hit box detection system that doesn't feel out of place and comes more natural however not being so far casualed up to call it another CoD game. The new items and weapons bring a fresh look and the new graphical update being used on the Portal 2 Source build is a nice addition.

My only problem is the over emphesis on new game modes instead of making more maps readily available and relying too much on the community to make custom maps (which don't always become popular over official maps) but I see this changing with time as the game is still fairly new. Overall I would say this is the best Counter-Strike variation to date though its popularity needs to improve and new remade maps need to be introduced.
