If you actually pay attention to the lore, it's an amazing game. The playstyle system seems pretty versatile, so you can play pretty much however you want to for different challenges. There are tons of questlines, so you can play through those before continuing the main quest.

In my opinion, Skyrim is WAAAY better than Oblivion, and even if you didn't like Oblivion or Fallout, you should still try this game. Besides, it's Skyrim; do I really NEED to convince you into buying it?
