Although games before it have tried (and usually succeeded on some level) to combine the RTS and FPS genres, Nuclear Dawn hits almost the perfect note on the two, making both sides of the game enjoyable.

Ace of Spades perfects the idea of Minecraft and a shooter combined, and is a game that should be highly praised. With the developers hard at work adding new content, you can be sure AoS will remain fresh for a long while.

Taking elements from both Half-Life and Deus Ex, E.Y.E offers up a pretty sweet package, if you keep your mind open. There are flaws, of course, but E.Y.E is the most unique game I've ever played.
