This game. Ohhhhh, this game. It was one of the most powerful games of it's time, and still holds up as an emotional and involving piece second to only that of Half-life. Either from it's chilling atmosphere to it's deep, involving story to it's rock-solid combat, this game will thrill you to the core, and you will finish it feeling emotionally drained and deeply satisfied.

And the expansions? They're alright. Extraction Point focused more on the horror and tenseful atmospheres, while Perseus Mandate was mostly about the gun fights and hard pumping action. Take your pick on which one to go through first after beating the first game, as it doesn't really matter.

This game is every Half-life 2 zombie modder's dream come alive..developed by zombie modders. Its a fun and addictive experience coated with strong atmopshere, solid cooperative elements, colorful characters (I'd be the chums of Louis and Francis anyday..) and a strong community of level designers who keep the flare alive with awesome and compelling custom maps.

I can't say I'm not dissapointed that this was not released as an expansion pack to Fallout 3, as it pretty much IS Fallout 3, just with more cowboy hats and coyotes with snake heads. But for its bloated price and unjust familiarity, Fallout New Vegas offers a depthful and thrilling experience. Garunteed to snatch you away from reality for hours on end, enough that an amber alert might go off if you're not of the age this game recommends..
