Hey, I'm Gazbo. I've played some sort of video game or another since I was three starting with the first and second sonic the hedgehog on the sega genesis. I've been playing first person shooters since I was nine, the first FPS game I ever played was Half-life. It gave me nightmares, lol.
I really got into Team fortress classic around the same age and starting (failing) on random Rock2 servers with around 700 ping, anyone remember playing on dailup? I sure do.
A year or so later I found broadband and AxlsTFC by searching for a map called k_thegame, since I was a kid and that map was classified as a "fun" map with no killing it naturally attracted me to it. The server also had a motto that suited me well: AxlsTFC where 2fort is a BAD thing. After that map ended I was changed. The server had a voting system like no other. At first there was a map with about 20 doors, but later on it became 40 odd, each door led to a map which was specified with a floating sprite over it. You would break the door down by hitting it with a crowbar, naturally it went down faster with more voters.
Such a feat of genius from the owner, Axl.
Seven years later and I still play that server, of course its got with the times and moved to awesome TF2. It still has that unique vote system that left me shellshocked back then.

-All arena maps have a 15 minute timelimit.
-We DO NOT use any gameplay altering mods like Instant Respawn and Critical Hits modification.

-All custom maps are compressed and delivered from the web for fast downloading on the game server
-No annoying custom sounds or intrusive HUD menus
-No bots or fake player counts to lure people in.
