The Kazunari

Oh dear god MAGICK EVERYWHERE. Seriously though, being able to randomly call down a bolt of lightning and see it turn your friend into a fine mush is quite simply one of the best things I've ever done.
Well, that or setting them on fire. Or throwing them off a cliff. Or freezing them. Or crushing them. Or drowning them. Or having them sucked up into a tornado. Or running like a little girl from a giant troll with a giant freaking hammer that wants to turn my brain into a pancake.

Good times.

I just... I don't evne know where to begin. Perhaps the wondeful stealth system. Maybe the highly punishing yet deeply rewarding combat system. Or perhaps the adaptive AI, that reacts to the tactics you employ. Maybe a good place would be the expansive Augmentation system, which allows you to balance the right level of combat, stealth and social skills as you want.

Or perhaps, I'll just talk of the freedom. The freedom to explore. To pick your own path. To navigate the sewers of Deroit because, why the hell not. To leap from building to building in Hengshaw, bullets ringing off the air-condition units you're using for platforms. All because you felt like it.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution gives you the world, and it gives you the tools. Go write your own story within its cities.

You'd think after however long, a game like TF2 would become boring. Years of the same maps, and the same classes, and the same tactics... but right there, it's never same. Ok, sure, the maps go the same way most of the time, you learn where the weak spots are, and where the hidden routes are, but the classes make the game so very much different. Each of the nine classes are so very different, and even within themselves they can be different with all the choices for the different load outs.

And hats. We must mention hats. MOAR HATS.

Ah, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. It's a love it or hate it game, really. Ever since Shadow of Chernobyl, the simple /size/ of the game is rather daunting, and Call of Pripyat is no exception. While it's true that CoP only has three major map areas, while Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky had I think in the region of 8 - 10, Call of Pripyat's areas are just as large, if not larger than any of the other two games.

There is a large varation of weapons, ranging from your simple, rusty 9mm pistols, to brand new, state of the art NATO Issue assult rifles and more. Also add in the fact of different ammo types, like Armour Pierce and FMJ rounds, along with weapon customization, combat can be a very tactical process. There's also armour customization, and the game has a very deep sense of immersion. To sum it up, STALKER is a REAL RPG, without the levels or EXP. Just you, your gun and your will to survive.
