We require more minerals!

Of all the different praises this game gets, the biggest one is it makes me nostalgic for Starcraft 1.

Was initially put off by the gratuitous displays of gore, but as I got deeper into the game and hearing about their other titles I figured they aren't completely senseless, just dissonance within the established setting. Something newcomers should realize going in is that Bioengineering in the world of Stasis is just remarkably loose and unbound by ethics, even by corporate dystopian standards, people in the game are just appropriately desensitized to a certain level of body horror.

One of my gripes is how much you're struggling to view the maps in poor lighting. It fits the atmosphere but does not contribute well to map playability, and you're forced to rely on the ping system which detracts a bit from the immersion. They do put a lot of work inserting observables that describe the environments at great detail, though as someone who reads every text I come across it gets a bit excessive at times and slows down the story beats. They often contain surprisingly flowery language that I'm not sure really fits a horror title, but then again I don't really read horror novels to really know what to expect.

Difficulty for an adventure point and click is reasonable for someone who've played a bit of them. I have gotten stuck, but most of the time the hint dialogue is sufficient for me to beat the game without a walkthrough.

The cast of characters are the true highlight of the game. I enjoyed the story arcs of the 3 playable protagonists and the entire cast had superb delivery in their voice acting. While its no SOMA in the realm of existential horror and philosophy there is a strong undercurrent of the tenacity of the human spirit in the face of trauma, something I enjoy and resonate with.

Over many years of reading internet communities seemingly lauding it as one of the best singleplayer campaigns in modern gaming, I finally decided to give it a try. But as someone coming in expecting a narrative action game like Half Life or Dishonored, I found myself rather disappointed in points of my playthrough and felt the gunfights dragged out a bit too much. But the game and story did grow on me after a while (your Titan buddy is such a dork), and the game certainly has its moments of power fantasy you damn well expect from a game that is essentially Avatar with Gundam suits. Respawn seemingly expanded the world over the years with other forms of media, which I find commendable as commitment to the franchise goes.

The campaign's a great experience, but that's only because what it lacks in innovative gameplay mechanics and game storytelling department it makes up in heaps with style and spectacle. Still a hearty recommend for me, just go into it with the mindset of a MCU film instead of, I don't know, Catcher in the Rye, and you'll have a lot of fun with this title.

No comment on Multiplayer, except it has multiplayer achievements tied to officially dead servers which somewhat irks the repressed completionist in me. Blech. But it does also mean you're paying for half the product here so definitely wait for a sale to get your money's worth.

One of the better dating simulators out there in the market. And what better setting to draw inspiration from than Greek mythos?

Date from a large selection of family members! Experience thrilling dramatics of polyamorous relationships as partners vie for your favor! Fight rival couples in the Colosseum to earn the grand title of best powercouple in the underworld! Cause marital strife! Date Death! Date a rock! Date your dog!

Also has a pretty great roguelike minigame backed by a ROCKING soundtrack.

A blend of a handful of games that makes for a rather wholesome experience. Emphasis on adventuring and exploration.

Factorio for the 2-dimensionally impaired.

Great game to decompress with- resources are infinite, enemies are but just a side distraction, there's not much challenge to be had but there's always something to do.

Also featuring the thiccest engineers in the industry.
