Amazing game. Very high skill cap. The beta community isn't nearly as bad as the typical MOBA community, there are a few bad apples, but for the most part I'm the one who is going to start raging before teamates. I'm having a lot of fun with it. The bots are pretty smart too, so if you don't want to play vs real people, the bots make a fairly good alternative.
If you've never played a MOBA/DOTA style game before, it's hard to recommend it, as there might be easier mobas to learn first (cough LoL) because dota can be very overwhelming at first with the amount of decision making needed constantly, it is worth it to stick with it and learn how the game works as a whole, it's worth it.
Most of the fun for me is just learning how the heroes work and then making good plays and carrying games. Team work is cool too, I guess., haha :)
