How fares your empire?
This is a public group created primarily for the enjoyment, critique and discussion of Grand Strategy games. This focus includes, but is not limited to a host of grand strategy of games created by Paradox Interactive.
However, we refuse to limit ourselves to the Grand Strategy genre - you may find us perusing a number of other games in a variety of differing genres, including 4X Strategy and a number of simulation games.
This group, as do the players behind it gladly welcomes anyone who takes delight in playing video games.

Armchair Generals of the world, unite! This game is definitely for you if you love history. The timeline takes you from the midst of the 100 years war, through colonization and the Reformation and ends with an epic Napoleonic struggle. No two games are ever the same, and I still find myself learning something new after years of playing. After mastering the base game (of which I highly recommend picking up the expansions) there's always excellent mods to try out or multiplayer to indulge in.
As an owner of both Left 4 Deads and Killing Floor, I find myself playing this game more often. The focus on teamwork is the main focus in this zombie shooter, and reminds me of a favorite HL mod sven coop. I also enjoy the leveling aspect, which grants perks as you play. In addition, the dev support for this game is absolutely fantastic, and I don't foresee the multiplayer community dying anytime soon. Highly recommended!
Very fun platformer/adventure game by Tim Schafer. Has a great storyline and memorable characters, highly recommend it!
