I think bad release timing killed this game before it even had a chance.

As the move to the dumbed-down console shooters started gaining momentum and PC hardware expenses were at an all-time high, a game that fully reinforced everything about PC gaming and basically laughed at the bogged-down slow-motion prairie-dog combat design of console shooters was met with a poor reception.

Sadly, popularity and quality aren't mutual and thus this amazing game will be buried in the annals of gaming history and overshadowed by the craptastic Halos, Modern Warfares and Gears of War clones that litter the market.
