While new to steam this has been on the net for a while at sites like Kongregate and Itch.io, which I've been playing this on (Way more than my steam time) It's a fun little do anything sort of game; sure subjecting the doll to various awful things is the core point but you can also build sets, other sort of creatures, even customize the various items.

Being a rather simple game, it's hard grade along the usual lines, but the sounds are pretty good when you cut/smash/fling the doll into a wall at high speed.

It also updates pretty often with at least one thing new and nifty.

I in a way got it for free as I basically donated to the guy a while back before the current rendition of the downloadable was even a thing because I liked the guy's work on this and the previous MaD (on Kongregate) and felt the fun was worht money. I'm planning on buying another copy to give away just to spread the word out.

I know what people may be thinking when they see this "OMG! Vanguard Princess on steam, MUST GET!" but please resist the impulse as what you're getting isn't what you'd expect.

What one'd expect: fully compatible with recent windows OS/steam support/actual rebalances

What you get: The last real rev of the game (made however long ago) with some publisher made stuff as DLCs (as to try to get some life out of it)

So do yourself a favor and don't go for this.... well at least not without a big discount or bundle on it if you're that curious.

There's some warning about things which I'll get out of the way.

A) movement controls chronically reset (barring the challenge mode which is a series of missions)
B) An enemy tank in later levels goes and leaves the screen potentially.

But I would reccomend it as it's a cheap amusing thing to do when you have a few minutes.

I can't say this is must get for the time being.

While this is a part of a trend, I really wanted to like the game as it seemed to have potental but it seems to have wasted it in various ways.

I don't mind the graphics, but a glaring thing is the lack of variety in tilesets. The spites/animation are pretty basic.

Music isn't too bad

Now for the big beef; Roguelikes are random but this takes it to absurd levels as fights often devole into flurries of "MISS!" and prying the enemy doesn't get lucky with his hit and/or damage.

The items aren't so random as some claim as there's hints as to their effects, the Gyphs on some quests on the other hand.... yeah pretty random. But there's not much of a stockable healing item to be seen nor a passive healing ability that often appears in some games.

These things combine to make a quest often an exercise in futility as unless you get lucky, you'd get worn down and dead on the first floor. Not exactly fun.

So consider yourselves warned before trying to get this.

Early Access Review
They weren't quite kidding when they said it was based off of Super Pang/Super Buster brothers, though there's a more actiony spin to it (some bugs shoot at you and you can chain kills to get a higher score)

The game has level unlocked progression of things; new weapons and power ups become available based on game progress.

The graphics do the job and seeing the titular Bug butcher and the sciencist is amusing as is their dialogue.

Currently there's only arcade missions availble but there's other modes to be unveiled (no idea if it's an ErAc thing or I need to progress more)

It's a pretty nice game so far.

It's a very simple game: Shoot everything but don't die. No really fancy scoring things, no lives, just you and them. Its simplicity provides a certain charm along with the graphics and music.

Graphics: Various square/circle based things in pixel, though if you look at it, there's various patterns/differences on each thing, making them stand out.

Gameplay: It tells you how to play and it's preetty simple though there's a nice little shake when you fire your gun. Sure it's a bit disrupting but it's a nice touch.

Music: Alright chiptune music. Pretty nice but not the most memorable stuff.

It's pretty cheap so if you like shmups and want something down to basics, you ought to give this a shot.

First I'll say while it's related to another game, it's pretty stand alone as it is.

It's akin to tetris but some twists as for one the only time pressure is the one you put on yourself. It does a nice job of making you use your brain in terms of getting everything to fit. This might even have the side effect of making you better at tetris.

If you like that sort of mental excerise this is highly reccomended as it's both free and not that space comsuming.

This is the idle game cousin to Time Rifters (a FPS that you play with yourself), and as a result various shared traits make it stand out from the rest.

For starters: enemies aren't just one piece of massive HP but collections of blocks, each with their own HP with some having more than others.

In response your click gun can target them and your "allies" have various traits beyond higher DPS, like the rocket launcher's spread damage or the particle ball's crit

there's some level up settings for quicker leveling without holding down a button and leveling and abilities for your allies are on the same track, (you level then get the ability, then level some more); this ensures passives aren't missed.

As far as your active abilities go those are learned separately and have hot keys, including Space which activates all the ones you current have for a nice Alpha strike effect.

Want an shooting/FPS flavored idle game? This is for you.

Don't be fooled by the notion of Magical Drop on the PC, this is a complete mess by a hack of a publisher. If it seems colorful well, I'm in a bit of an AVGN mood.

For starters, the personality and plot of the cast was more or less written over with generic stuff. This in itself might not be such a gamebreaker if the gameplay itself was good, sadly THAT IS NOT the case.

The game freaking crashes half the time when you start it up. It's like the game itself is trying to save you from it.

Got the game loaded up nice and good? There's not alot beyond versus and story mode, where in the latter you'll run into some cowcrap difficulty where the AI will smack you around far too easily. That leaves versus mode which may work well, but it'd involve inflicting this upon your friends.

Even if it's on super sale, that money's better off someplace else.

While I reccomend it, It's mainly for AVGN fans and those who like to snark at modern video game aspects (such as how stores like gameCOP work) or a bit on the infamous E(ee)T(ee) video game.

While flawed the various threads do get resolved more or less with some things coming up unexpectedly (assuming you don't spoil yourself)

Oh yeah the flim is comically low budget but I mean that in a flattering fashion.

It's best watched if you'er not expecting a hollywood blockbuster.

I really dunno about paying full price for this, but I spent about 4 bucks on this and while I can list some better things, I can list 2-3x the number of worse things, like Magical Drop V here on steam (I only spent about 1.5 bucks on that and i still regret it)
