Elder Scrolls have always been some of the greatest open world RPG's created. This time around you head far north into the mountains and the region of Skyrim. There are a lot of blurred lines and you have to decide which factions you are wanting to join as some of them can be at war with each other.
The guilds arnt as shiny and easy to recognise as they were in Oblivion. Skyrim has its equivalents each with their own storyline. The Dark Brotherhood for example isnt quirky like in Oblivion, its just plain evil and you do get a tie in to Oblivion and the events of the guild in that game.
Grab Skyrim, most the major bugs have now been fixed and Bethesda have upped the ram usage to 4Gb. This is Bethesda on top form.
Awesome game, quite enjoyed the first one but this does so much better. Typical fantasy setting and story. Gameplay itself though is fantastic, crafting covers weapons, magic and alchemy and allows to to craft anything the mind can think of! Combat is great but sometimes can feel a little light, like the weapons carry no weight. Visually the game is stunning, even on lowest settings, sound isnt to bad, as voice acting is a bit lifeless, the score on the other hand is awesome. The pros outweigh the cons though in this great fun title.
Scratch what the reviews say about this game. Its an enjoyable action stealth game. Granted its a dog to play with keyboard & mouse but use a 360 controller and you are laughing all the way.
Visually its a nice looking game that runs well on most systems, only downside is that the textures can pop in, this happens on the kit out screen and in the safehouse usually, however if you remember Mass Effect was equally as bad for this!
Decent branching story where your decisions do actually change outcomes later down the line.
Wish I had actually picked this up sooner than what I did!
