I think in years to come, this game will be a classic.

In depth characters, an interesting game mechanic, fantastic story with consequences, and a beautiful soundtrack that describes the emotional journey of the game perfectly. All of this combines to an experience that you will never forget. Usually every game of this genre has the pinnacle episode which leaves you stunned at the end of the game. This game manages to do it at the end of EVERY episode. At several points I was staring at my screen in disbelief. It's going to be a long time before I play something as impactful as Life is Strange. What a game.

GOTY for me. On the surface it's a farming simulator with the graphical style of terraria - but it is so much more. It does not break any ground with the farming, or mining, or the combat system. However, it does with the combination of the following:

- The AMOUNT of content in the game by one developer.
- You can mine, fish, plant various crops, have animals, quest, make friends, craft, build and do much more. You choose what you want to do on your farm!
- The community (plus the events), the different characters and their stories. You feel a part of it - which is charming.
- Vibrant and colourful artstyle.
- Brilliant and catchy soundtrack that changes with the seasons.

Negatives are
- Can become grindy later on, I find that relaxing, some might not.

In my life I've never played anything like this game before. My preconceptions were that this was going to be another portal clone - well that thought was shattered pretty quickly. It's more of a personal experience that focuses on how you approach Antichamber.

Puzzles are unique, different, and mindblowing. The game progresses well, as you learn new concepts and apply them to other puzzles ... until the game pulls the rug under your feet like the slave you are. Here is an idea of what was going through my head for the majority of the puzzles. "WHAT"?, "Ok....", "WHY AM I HERE", "WHERE DO I GO", "THIS GAME SENSE NONE".

Stuck on a puzzle? No problem, move on to another and come back to it later. The intuitive map allows you to choose where to go next.

Aesthetics are simple with a uniquely distinctive art style. A white background with bright colours. The right contrast to entice you into the world, yet not distracting when taking in the environment to solve a puzzle. Accompanying the visuals is a soundtrack with various natural sounds.

The only negatives i can think of is if you don't like puzzles then this will be a frustrating experience. I had to take a break after solving several, although that comes with the genre more than anything.

I have been gaming for a long time and nothing has been quite as fresh and breathtaking of a experience than this game. My all time favourite.

Best point and click adventure game I’ve ever played. Up there, if not more enjoyable than The Curse of Monkey Island, Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars and The Walking Dead - I can see now why it is scored so highly.

First of all The Longest Journey no doubt requires a lot of patience. The game shares more familiarities with a novel, having an extraordinary amount of dialogue to go through and numerous objects to click on and explore. Story felt refreshingly unique and flows well. It is split into thirteen Chapters of varying length and themes. The voice acting is brilliant – characters feel natural, not samey and often time’s humorous (mature content).

Puzzles on reflection were mostly straight forward, logical and challenging – and only had to use a guide for small sections of the game that didn’t make sense or where I forgot one piece of dialogue (you need to complete certain things in order to continue with the plot). Graphics and cut scenes look dated at first impression but soon becomes part of the games charm. Musical soundtrack does a fantastic job at conveying the different moods throughout the journey.

Chapter Three is the funniest, and cements the fact that this is now one of my favourite point and click games. Definitely a masterpiece.

Although this game is very short (3 hours), it's more than worth it for the experience alone. This game is incredible. Story sucks you in as you go on an adventure and I could not put this game down. Expect puzzles, many feels and a chilling soundtrack. You'll find yourself staring at the rolling credits, trying to process what the ♥♥♥♥ just happened - that's a sign of an awesome game.
