Boycott this game until mod tools and Steam version is released!

We are fans of the Battlefield games, and we want to continue having good BF games.

If you care about PC gaming, please I beg you to not buy this game! Boycott BF3, and join this steam group in protest:

The Battlefield 3 - Boycott is a group of individuals who have pledged to boycott the upcoming release of Battlefield 3 on October 25th 2011. We have assembled a manifesto outlining the basic concensus of many members of our community.


WE RECOGNIZE:

- The makers of Battlefield 3 have financial needs that cannot be expected to survive without being competitive.

-Judgment cannot be passed on the quality of Battlefield 3 until its release.

-Battlefield 2 was, and is, a quality game which deserves the praise of the entire gaming community.

WE ARE COMMITTED:


-To keeping the standard of PC Gaming as high as it once was, and especially the online gaming.

-To supporting the model of other games that release mod tools and map editors.

-To being able to purchase our digital software where ever we want, whether it be Steam, Origin, Impulse, or in a store.

WE BELIEVE:

-The release of Battlefield 3 without mod tools and map editor is a cheap move and decrease the quality of gaming.


WE REQUEST:

-That the makers of Battlefield 3 release mod tools, map editor, and Steam version as quickly as possible.


Therefore, we - the members of this Battlefield 3 Boycott - promise to abstain from the purchase of Battlefield 3 until our requests are addressed.


Reasons to boycott:
- No modding tools
- No Map Editor
- Not Available on Steam
- Forces you to use Origin (which sucks)
- No innovative gameplay (Same as BF2 but with nicer graphics)
- Price way too expensive for a slightly better engine than Bad Company 2, for half the price you can buy games like Red Orchestra 2 that do everything that BF3 does and does it better.

Origin sucks! Let us keep all of our favorite games in one place on Steam. We do not want to create more accounts and passwords and we do not want more than one digital store installed on our PC. The members of this group will not buy a new EA game including BF3 unless the game is available on Steam.

We also want mod tools and a map editor!!! Wtf...anyone who buys this game is a fool!
