As the only game I have bought for myself on Steam, to date, Dungeons of Dredmor is easily a game I keep coming back to play over the rest of my library. This game was my introduction into a niche game type known as "roguelikes" and it does not turn me away from that genre. At this moment in time, I have played about 25 hours, while only having spent around $5. I'd say it's been worth it~
A roguelikes' difficulty in traversing and learning the dungeon environment is one set high in difficulty usually with the option of permadeath (dead character deletes his/her saves)
The game has an amusing sense of humor (most of the time) and I find it's art style to be quite endearing. However, it was a little odd at the start when I had first seen my character, "Why am I a walking pair of eyebrows!?" And when they later added a female model to the game, it didn't change much, "Why am I a walking pair of eyebrows and hair?"
If difficulty and cartoony art are no-no's. Then stay away~ <3
