A refreshed and recoded version of the fascinating 1995 indie RPG hit Exile: Escape From the Pit. If you enjoy exploration, turn-based strategic combat, and classic RPGs this is definitely a great investment for the price. It is classic in the sense that it is highly text-driven allowing for a large imaginative world filled with lore and legend. Avernum, much like it's source material still has an impressive world map and environment to explore, with hidden or special encounters for the curious. Considering you can also purchase a iPad version of Avernum (available on the App store), it would make a great mobile RPG for those long commutes / trips. Recommended if you don't mind simpler graphics and a decent amount of reading.
