Hipster to the max.
A damn blast. Combat is amazing, and the platforming isn't half bad either. The story is barely there and only exists to string together different levels, but it doesn't even matter because the gameplay is so fine.
To me, it has but one problem: Its health display. You see, Lugaru is very minimalistic, and sports no hud whatsoever. In place of a health bar your camera will shake slightly the more you get damaged. Unfortunately the game NEVER tells you this, and I had to look it up on the forums.
Still, despite this annoying flaw, this game is amazing. Look past its (literal) programmer graphics and you will find a sparkling gem of a fighting game.
But keep one thing in mind before you take out your wallet: This game is VERY difficult. I do not recommend the game to anyone that is not particularly good at games or has slower reflexes (or a slower moniter).
Buy it. I don't care what kind of games you like, this will be one of them.
