the-picturesque-cliffThis is a great game. The same style of game as Arkham Asylam, with improved mechanics. I didn't care for the idea of having a whole section of a city as a prison, but the payoff in gameplay helped me get over it really quick. The storyline is well paced, and the villians each have their epic moments. The side missions flowed pretty seemlessly with everything else going on, and adds to the feeling of what it must be like to fight crime around the clock. This game is worth the $30, but the full price GOTY edition will include the Harley's Revenge DLC... which looks pretty nice.
Guilty pleasure game at it's finest. They seem to have taken the best from every game or movie out there and smashed it into one satyrical experience. I bought it at full price, along with the Third Season Pass, and I do not regret it at all. In fact I bought it for a couple other people I know simply because I thought they would enjoy it as much as I did. I laughed alot, and destroyed so many things.
This is a $20 dollar game, tops. PROS: great cinematics, satisfying kills, decent environments. CONS: linear levels, movement is not very fluid, strange AI, levels that require close combat for a sniper, no payoff for finding gold bars or shooting bottles. OVERALL: It's playable, has some really enjoyable moments; but seems to be lacking today's standard of game mechanics. Not worth the full price, but a good time-waster when it's below $20.
