Really did not like this, I went into it expecting to relive the nostalgia of the original Phantasy Star Online which was on Gamecube, this was not it,

Alright, I've played and finished the Dark Souls Trilogy, Perhaps it's time to try Dark souls on the back of a horse with a proper jump this time?

Obviously at this point your only true option is to buy the remastered version of the game, which is fine as it will cost you a lot less than the old version now (around £150 on reseller sites) Dark Souls is a game about conquering fears, overcoming adversity, learning from your mistakes and of course, getting gud.

I never truly understood the game for a very long time and felt genuine foreboding to venture into the catacombs. New Londo was baffling to me, why could I not damage ghosts? perhaps I was missing something. The game does not hold your hand, you need to read the description of items to understand their purpose. You have to wonder how many people died over and over again trying to reach the abyss without the covenant of Artorias for example.

Now that I have completed the game, I understand more about what makes it so special, every boss is just another obstacle, a challenge to overcome. With time you learn their attack patterns, their weaknesses, how to defeat them. There are also a number of NPCs in the game with unique quests, which are easy to miss and worthwhile to pursue. On your first Playthrough, you may want to go in with no prior knowledge, learn the lay of the land and make mistakes, its ok, you can always try again in new game plus.

Overall, I can see why people love this game, it got its hooks into me near the end of 2021 after it was voted ultimate game of all time in the Golden Joystick Awards. I made myself a promise to not be scared of the ghosts in new londo, not cower from the bosses of the game and to face gwyn and prevail.

Dark Souls may not be a perfect game, it may not be the Ultimate Game of All Time (subjective) but it is an experience that From Software crafted with passion, it's clear from the intricate map design and interconnectivity of the world.

In my personal opinion, it was a great journey and I will one day enjoy returning to Lordran in the Remaster. Pray you don't go hollow on the way, chosen undead.

the game that started it all, enhanced! received for free, thanks gearbox for giving us this upgrade on the original game for free, rather than making us purchase a remaster when it's mainly a texture upgrade.

I see a lot of negative reviews for this game, hell even the cynical brit himself gave it a slating during his wtf is section, but I think it's time I say what everyone is thinking; These people need to GIT GUD.

There is nothing wrong with this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ intense fast paced donut scoffing simulator!

If you are dying all the time, level up, get some better guns, upgrade all your ♥♥♥♥ and see just how EASY normal mode is!

I've played through the majority of the game already I just have the last level to do, and at the time of writing this I've spent a mere 2.8 hours in this glorious game and yet people have spent longer than I in the game than I have and can't get past the first level?!

It's not that they can't, it's that they need to rethink their tactics, synergise their weapon choices and even use below the belt tactics to make their bust.

One example from total biscuits video was when he placed the AI partner in line with a door ready to shoot enemies as they come through, he leaves the partner in direct line with the doorway, therefore he will get gunned down because he is in a vulnerable position, now if he had been placed to the side of the door he would have less chance of being spotted and his cone of fire would be directed where it needs to be, with a Shotgun equipped this is lethal!

I'm sure there is plenty else people do wrong, but once you can pass level 1, replay it arresting 3 or 4 of the perps to get an A grade, that's 4 XP points, each tree is 20 points so you need to do a fair few runs to reach max level, but it's worth it because you will one shot most npcs on normal mode with a pistol.

I think this game is awesome

Soundtrack 5/5
Game play 4/5
Graphics 4/5
Storyline 3/5

It's a short game for sure, but I like the challenge of beating each level on increasing difficulty and maxing every characters stats.

Woodle Tree Adventures follows a young tree stump and it's unlikely friend the Beaver in a quest for all the juicy berries they can get their mits on!

The game takes place within separate worlds which are accessed by world spheres, inside Woodles house within the world hub (which is Woodles house and garden, which floats because reasons!)

The levels are varied and interesting, and there are plenty of different enemies to fight, although you have to be careful as you might hit a friendly little dude whilst you are at it. (I am still not sure if you are supposed to kill the caterpillars?)

All in all there is a lot of fun to be had and at such a low price I urge you check it out!

I will note the issues I do have that can hopefully be looked at by the Dev team
- camera angle is fixed and only zooms in or out, it would be nice if it zoomed out less and could be rotated
- the Beaver has to stick to Woodle like glue or doesn't stay on screen, either a split screen mode or an automatic camera zoom would mean you can both move around more freely
- The Beaver can't pick up or activate certain things Woodle can, such as the little blue and red mushrooms, if both players could do this it would be ideal.
-Some enemies just dance on the spot, don't attack you and only do damage if you walk into them, if they did something the game would be more exciting
Characters could have hearts and on depletion the level ends or you respawn at the start.

Ubisoft have stated that they took a big risk with this game, it is not their typical triple A title that must be churned out year on end.

How glad I am that they took a chance on this game!

an Astounding soundtrack by Coeur de Pirate, compelling storyline, diverse and interesting characters and involved RPG mechanics akin to the final fantasy series all come together to create a game so atmospheric I found it difficult to put down.

Once you do complete the game there is the chance to go back and play again with the same stats and oculi (stat modifying crystals) so that you can unlock every skill for each character ( I finished my first playthrough at level 49)

You can also play it co operatively as a second player can control the firefly igniculus who can heal allies and slow foes down, reach areas Aurora can't and illuminate the dark.

Fast paced high octane gun toting head splitting gut wrenching psychedelic retro violence. In a word this game is cool, doesn't give a damn if you like it or not, will have you retrying each level hundreds of times and leaves you saying WTF every time another line of dialogue appears.

Pros:Ultra Violent insanity
Masks are cool
Interesting Concept

Cons:Frustrating
Hard
Doesn't make much sense!

7/10

I'd play it if I were you man.

The ultimate Sandbox game! Garry's Mod started life as a simple idea from one of Valve's employees, but it has established a huge player base since its inception. The original game mode is a creation mode, where you can build anything you want (some people have built working computers within the game for example) which provides some brilliant comedy value! The big thing with this is the Third Party Content, the game is open for people to create their own files, such as game modes, (one I recommend thoroughly being applejack semi serious RP) weapons, maps, textures, characters, models, I could go on but you can basically create a game within a game.

Even if you aren't highly creative, there is still enjoyment to be had. You can download other users creations, play them with your friends, use them for their intended purpose, or just try to make them explode! There is nothing else that needs to be said about this, its cheap and very cheerful!
