Haven't seen another game do melee combat nearly as well as this. Also a pretty fun expansive world to roam around in.
Steep learning curve, but the depth and breadth of this game are just incredible. If you like economic simulations, sandbox games, or space shooters, you should really check this out.

Yeah, I love Mount & Blade. Especially with the various mods. It's crazy to think of how many hours I've wasted in Calradia. :) It looks like you and I may have fairly similar taste in games.
Regarding Call of Pripyat, it was pretty much more of the same as the previous two Stalker games. Even though I loved Chernobyl and enjoyed Clear Sky, I found myself getting bored with Pripyat. Same tech, similar story line. Not enough novelty to keep the game interesting.
