Pros:
-Free to play.
-3GB download.
-Tactical Gameplay that encourages teamwork.
You need to pick up your teammates when they're downed, and tie down your enemies.
-Good variety of maps and custom maps to download. 6v6 or 12v12 quick games.
-Highly detailed character models with good animation.
-Good built in push-to-talk voice communication (not always on).
-Very minimally buggy, very smooth beta with minimal hangups.
-Spotting function by pressing 'Q'.
-Basic variety of starting weapons that feel pretty good: M9 Pistol, M4 Assault Rifle, SAW, Shotgun, M14 Auto-Sniper, added new M16 Burst Assault Rifle which seems very accurate, and the M24 Sniper Rifle which feels like the AWP from CS.
-Added class based system to keep people from spamming the more powerful weapons.
-Different sight attachments to choose from.
-You can have two sets of grenades at a time, 4 different types to pick from:
1 HE, 2 Stun(Flash) (Up to 4), 2 Smoke(Slow) (Up to 4), 2 Fog(Fast) (Up to 4).

Cons:
-Newbs don't really pick up, tie down or spot. It might just not occur to them, but reminding them or reviving them yourself usually helps them learn.
-Only 1 kind of pistol currently, doesn't seem like they plan to add any others, as they have removed pistol selection entirely.
-No female soldier models. Since this is technically a recuiting tool for the Army, you would think they would target their entire audience. Women recieve the same training that men do.

im not sexist this is just my opinion SO JUST HEAR ME OUT.
women do not have the same masculinity as men and they cant endure as much(sorry if that sounds sexist) and they probly have more agility than men but like i said, endurance plays a part and dont have the physical ability to be an infantry(AGAIN SORRY IF THAT SOUNDS SEXIST) now im talking about infantry(army/marines) and navy but i do think women should be allowed in the air force (idk if they are or not lel)
and dats all i have to say(sorry if this offends you)

I do understand that women recieve the same training as men in boot camp and AIT (My sister was a combat medic), but there aren't any female infantry. The reasons for this are good--female hygiene is more intensive, especially difficult on long operations, women are far more likely to be sexually abused if captured, and unit cohesion can suffer if there is any drama going on between the members of the squad. Male and female squads are actually separate in boot camp and barracks are always separate, for obvious reasons. Good review though--downloading this game now.

I play male characters all the time in a variety of games, even RPGs. Sometimes by choice. But a lot of the time, there isn't a choice. It just bugs me sometimes, in certain games, I'd like there to be an option to be female. It just seems weird to me that my feminine voice is coming out of a big buff soldier dude in a lot of games. :p

I do not agree in lowering the standards, but I feel that women should still have the opportunity to train the same as men do and serve if they are able to meet those performance standards. Clearly, not all women will make the cut, but I'm sure there will be plenty that are dedicated enough to meet the challenge.

Definitely not saying "let all women in", but let those in that are able to meet the requirements.

According to that article they "plan on" lowering the qualifications to serve in combat units. I don't think they will do that because they is a major liability. If they send in people who are phsically and mentally not combat ready then it would mean the lives of many being lost. I believe they tried to do the same thing after 9/11 but it was only able to go so far and they still didn't allow female infantry units. Now the article also says that 292,000 women have served in war zones so yes they have done it because those soldiers have show exceptional skill in combat and have passed the training to go into conflict. But to lower the standards to allow women in seems a bit dangerous, don't you agree?
