This game has severe console-itis. I'm sorry to say it, because I loved the last two games, but immediately getting into the game I had problems. First step, rebind your keys. Well, guess what, no rebinding any extra mouse buttons you have, because it will ignore they exist. Actually starting the game, was cool, the begining has you gunning cars right away. And it is rather pretty. Then, they get into a crapload of cutscenes, and the voices desync from the animation rapidly and often. This is jarring and broken. Singleplayer feels off. Because you're stuck with L4D style AI. It seems to have been designed solely with co-op in mind, down to leveling, with guns locked until you reach appropriate level. Therefore, in any car sequences in SP you are stuck as the driver. Which is rather boring. And the first real level is, guess what. Then, when you get there, you're still following a jarring waypoint dot system, hovering there, breaking the immersion. I'm not even 10 mins in.
This game... sucks. It's cheap rip-off of CoD, the guns feel like shit and the levels are crap. The whole system is a little confusing, even with the extra gimics. Pass.
It's a good Battlefield game. The only fault I have with it is that it lacks a prone function. Otherwise, very entertaining to snipe in, or run around blowing up walls with grenades and rockets.
In any case, if or when I do get it, I'll be looking forward to playing against you... in which case you'll probably school me.
