4.5% ??? o_O

at first, i was one of the people thinking that if i have to get a hat, i will get it honestly, and so i kept playing the same way, sometimes i was lucky enough to unlock... flareguns, backburners, and like thousand of ubersaws...
things that i already had anyway
now i have all of them in double, or triple
i know some people were using a program to make steam think they were playing, and so increase their chance to get items

then someday, a friend of mine, idler, got a hat (idling)
this day i realised how unfair the actual item looting system is
how comes this man, wich play like 10 times less than me, can have a hat and not me??

and so i failed you, robin (and the others), and used the idler
i didn't unlock anything except another ubersaw, then i configured the idler to only accept new hats
a (very) few days later, we learned about some strange thing in an update (wut? CheatDetectedMinor?)
i kept idling, though, i believed in another troll^^ (keeps the awesomeness, valve, also, the angel ring thing is great, way to go, i wish i had it)

now the real stuff:

valve said that they weren't happy that some people who play for months/years have unfair advantage over people that just bought TF2
and so the randomness sytem is here to let newcomers be happy
that is just totally wrong, those people don't even get to get used to one weapon, one classes, one unique gameplay that they received thousands of new weapons (and even hats :/ )

they don't even know what's happening to them, they don't know TF2's SPUF (!!), they are just not part of the community (yet), they are of course welcome but give them some times

Equality is not equity
as a long time player, as an extensive player, as one of the people that actually make the reputation of this game, one of the people that make people still buying your game 2 years after is release!!! i think i deserve some purely cosmetic item, just to proove that i have the experience

now on TF2 official blog, valve (Erik Johnson) said that only 4.5% is actually idling
we all know that's false, there was like 11000 to 12000 people idling at any time, wich made TF2 stats goes to most played steam games sometimes, and was 1/3 to 1/2 of the usual players numbers)
of course, if you count people that have only played 5 hours in the last 6 months, that may be true, but is it really for those people that you are still updating that game?


i guess it is
