A deceptively simple game, Dungeons of Dreadmore is a deep and entertaining roguelike RPG. The turn based combat flows smoothly enough to seem real time, with dozens of ways to attack your enemies and defend yourself. The skill system is very deep, with multiple skills to choose from and level up. The story and graphics are minimalistic, though this adds to the charm of the game. The most entertaining aspect, however, is the countless references and spoofs to popular culture, from the archeologist skill tree to the amusing phrases spoken by enemies as they’re attacking you.
