Beauty. Serenity. Wonder. Words such as these come to mind when playing Dear Esther; if it can actually be "played". Less game, more lucid dream, Dear Esther somehow characterises the lamentations of a sleepless poet into the very landscape which you are called to admire.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Heaps of fun, very challenging, and a great range of customisation options which fail to detract from the simplicity of the gameplay.

Brilliant commerce and trade mechanics, but lacking in advanced mass transit options. Nicely polished graphics. Not quite a step up from SimCity, perhaps a step in the right direction though. Overall, Gameplay: 8/10, Graphics: 9/10. Lots of potential.
