Like an A-10 airplane is built around it's gun, so is Spec Ops built around it's story. Every aspect of the game is used to potentialize and deliver the final message. Highly recommended title.

Love or hate it. There's not mid-term for this title. It's so unique that you'll hardly find any similar titles (open world FPS?). Two thing make this game one of my all-time favorites: the emergent gameplay (once a firefight starts, things explode, fire spreads and chaos ensues), but mostly the unprecedented atmosphere (once you press the new game button, you'll only leave the first person perspective in the end of the game), with the amazing soundtrack that helps you dive, head first, into the complete madness of a civil war.

Good storytelling and a great attention to detail makes this game hard not to recommend. It's good to see a grounded representation of Brazil (very close to the "Elite Squad" movie from 2007). Gameplay mechanics are interesting but takes a lot of effort to pull out those room-clearing shoot-dodge moves, meaning you'll repeat some scenes quite a few times until you nail it. Basically, it hits all the good spots that make a superb game, without overcommitting, providing a solid single-player experience, quasi old-school, and raising the bar on PC third-person shooters.
